TAMPA, Fla. — Haitian artist Junior Polo is bringing hope to the Tampa Bay area.
Literally.
Working with Tampa’s University Area CDC, Polo is building a sculpture that spells out “HOPE” in giant letters in beautiful Harvest Hope Park.
“We need to do something to inspire people,” he says.
But the project needs additional help from the community — and people all around the world.
That means you, too.
Write a note about what hope means to you — in any language — and Polo will waterproof it and attach it to the sculpture.
All ages are welcome.
You can be a part of the artwork — and a part of history.
You can send your letter to Josie Rocco at JRocco@UACDC.org.
Josie is with the University Area CDC and says these notes will act as an uplifting time capsule from these challenging times.
“With everything going on right now, we need to bring some hope to this community,” she says.
