The school district is looking to hire 124 drivers for its job fair that is being held Tuesday night at Leto High School in Tampa. The school district said in a press release it needs 50 drivers to immediately fill open bus routes.

Hillsborough County Schools is hoping Tuesday's job fair will alleviate its bus driver shortage.

"It is one of the most important jobs in our district – transporting thousands of children to school safely every morning and back home every afternoon," Hillsborough County Schools said in a press release.

The school district is also hiring bus mechanics, food service workers, custodial operations and after-school childcare workers.

The job fair will be held at Leto High School from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
