A Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Detention Deputy Trainee was arrested for allegedly having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a minor.

Kennorris Coleman, 25, was arrested by Clearwater Police Department Tuesday after an investigation revealed the inappropriate acts.

Coleman reportedly payed a 15-year-old $200 to have sex with her.

Police say he also made arrangements with her to purchase explicit photographs.

"There is no tolerance in this office for anyone who would prey against the most vulnerable and precious resource in our community: our children," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Kennorris Coleman does not reflect or come close to upholding the values, honor or integrity of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and I ordered him terminated immediately."

Coleman was dismissed by HCSO Tuesday night.

He began his employment with the sheriff's office in July of 2017 as a community service aide. After graduating from the detention academy on March 8 of this year, he became a Detention deputy trainee on probationary status.

He was participating in an eight-week long, HCSO specific training when he was fired.

Coleman is charged with lewd and lascivious battery.
