TAMPA, Fla. — A man is dead following a fight in Tampa after going to his ex-girlfriend's home, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, showed up at the home around 7:25 p.m. on Thursday. His ex-girlfriend is believed to share the home with her new boyfriend, authorities say.
The victim he hopped the fence of the home to fight the male homeowner, according to the sheriff's office. The homeowner then stabbed the victim in the upper body, killing him.
Everyone involved remained at the scene until deputies arrived. The homeowner was taken in for questioning, authorities say. He is not facing charges at this time.
Authorities say it happened near the intersection of Old Hillsborough Avenue and Williams Road.
