TAMPA, Fla. — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is asking the public for information related to a string of Starbucks burglaries in the state.

On Thursday, June 6 around 11 p.m. an unknown suspect broke into the Starbucks on Parkedge Drive in Tampa. Authorities say the person manipulated the lock to get inside.

Once in the store, the suspect took apart a security camera system, then broke into a safe. The person stole an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities say.

Law enforcement believe the burglary is related to other, similar burglaries that have happened throughout the state.

They estimate there have been at least 30 other Starbucks burglaries.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown suspect(s) involved in these cases. Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect(s) and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
