TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Fire Rescue is on scene after a gas line explosion injured two people at Raymond James Stadium.

It happened just after 2 p.m. on Thursday at the facility located at 4201 N. Dale Mabry Highway.

Tampa Police says two men were working on a gas line in a vending area on the 300 level of the stadium when a spark ignited causing a small explosion.

Two men were injured and taken to Tampa General Hospital as trauma alerts.

Both men received non-life threatening injuries. There were no other reported injuries.

ABC Action News reporters witnessed ambulances leaving the scene with sirens activated.

The flash gas explosion caused the sprinklers in that area of the stadium to activate.

The explosion caused an estimate $5,000 worth of damage, but there was no structural damage to the stadium.

The investigation determined the explosion was accidental.
