Deputies looking for driver in fatal hit-and-run crash involving pedestrian in Hillsborough County

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies are searching for the driver in a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian over the weekend.

It happened just before 3 a.m. on March 2.

Hillsborough County deputies say a pedestrian was struck while walking northbound on South Miller Rd. on the edge of the roadway. That pedestrian died at the scene.

Nearby surveillance cameras recorded an unknown make and model white sedan near the scen at the time of the crash. Detectives are working to identify the vehicle as a vehicle of interest only.

That car is believed to be a newer model car with possible High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights.
