Cross Bay Ferry returns to Tampa Bay on Sunday

TAMPA, Fla. — The Cross Bay Ferry returns to Tampa Bay this Sunday for its fourth season and runs until April 30.

The ferry will run Wednesday through Sunday with four stacked departures at both locations on Fridays and Saturdays.

"We're excited to return to Tampa Bay," Matt Miller, President of HMS Ferries said. "Passenger safety aboard The Cross Bay Ferry is our number one priority."

Increased safety precautions will be in place this season because of COVID-19, and will comply with all CDC guidelines.

  • Masks required at all times while inside the ferry
  • Some seats roped off to encourage social distancing
  • High touch areas will be cleaned and sanitized between each trip

According to a press release, the team will continue to monitor the situation and adjust safety precautions as needed.

Tickets are on sale now, online or at dockside ticket booths. Reservations are highly encouraged.

One way:

  • $10 for an adult
  • $8 for seniors 65 and up, active and retired military, and college students
  • $5 for kids five to 18
  • Free for kids four and under

Round trip:

  • $20 for an adult
  • $16 for seniors 65 and up, active and retired military, and college students
  • $10 for kids five to 18
  • Free for kids four and under
