LAND O' LAKES, Fla. -- A car crashed through a Pasco County home on Friday in Land O' Lakes.

According to a crash report, the 18-year-old driver told troopers he was traveling at 45 miles per hour when the speed limit was only 30 miles per hour. It was raining. He attempted to make a turn onto Lake Heron Drive, but lost control and ran through the side of the house.

"I was actually in the garage. It was about 2:30. I was working by the ping pong table and I heard a noise coming around the corner," said Jennifer Prall, homeowner.

Jennifer Prall said she went inside the home to get her husband. She said she feels fortunate she was not hit by the car.

"I could have been out here putting up Halloween decorations, but I would have saw him and at that point I would have ran. It was very scary," said Prall.

The driver also took down a stop sign.

"He was apologetic. He said he's okay, but his knee was hurt. We asked him to stay there and wait for EMT to make sure he's okay," said Bill Prall, homeowner.
