HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Parts of I-4 were closed down Saturday morning after a speeding driver caused the boat he was pulling to separate from his truck.
Florida Highway Patrol says the man was driving his Ford F250 too fast for the conditions, causing the trailer he was pulling to jackknife with the truck. Authorities say the 24-foot 1996 Stratos boat that was on the trailer became separated, landing in the middle of the road.
The driver, 41-year-old Fidel Gispert of Miami was cited for driving too fast.
There were no injuries reported from the accident.
