TAMPA, Fla. — Many Tampa Bay area organization are having to change how to serve their community and how they raise money.
Best Buddies Tampa Bay is one of those organizations.
Reaching their community has switched virtually, like a virtual prom on Instagram.
The organization, which serves youth and adults with intellectual disabilities, is having to move some of their fundraising efforts online, too.
Best Buddies Tampa Bay is holding a fundraising walk to inclusion next month. There is no cost to sign up, but if you raise $50 you will receive a t-shirt.
The programs funded are also feeling the impact. The organization's recently launched jobs program was hit especially hard, with more than 100 jobs lost.
