HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Detectives are investigating a deadly crash Wednesday night in Hillsborough County.
Deputies responded to a call around 9:22 p.m. of a crash involving a moped and a transport truck on Waters Avenue West.
Authorities say the moped was heading westbound in the bike lane on Waters. A Dodge Ram dually flatbed truck traveling eastbound on Waters began making a left turn onto Camden Street and hit the front of the moped.
The driver of the moped, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected onto the road and died at the scene.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reports the driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and cooperated with detectives.
The crash shut down westbound lanes of Waters Ave at Camden Street for several hours.
Officials are not releasing the name of the moped driver due to Marsy's Law.
