HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. --- A man is dead after a one-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.
Florida Highway Patrol said 32-year-old Cliff Pierre Jacques was traveling northbound on I-275, north of Bears Ave., at a high rate of speed.

Jacques failed to slow down before the curve of the roadway and left the east side of the road.
The vehicle ran into a tree and the rear caught fire.
Officials said the driver suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
FHP said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and believe alcohol was a factor.
