HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another injured.
Officials said Saturday night around 10:30 p.m., deputies were called to the 6200 block of 43rd Street North for reports of a shooting.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they located a shell casing and learned that two victims left in private vehicles to go to the hospital.
One victim went to St. Joseph's Hospital Main where he was pronounced dead.
The other victim went to AdventHealth with not life-threatening injuries. The victim left the hospital before deputies arrived, but was later stopped and escorted to St. Joseph's Hospital Main.
At this time, the shooting does not appear to be random. There is also no threat to the public.
