Hillsborough County Fire Rescue transported a child Wednesday night to Brandon Regional Medical Center for a dog bite.
Witnesses on scene tell ABC Action News, a 12-year-old boy was playing near his home in the 1300 block of Valley Groves Dr. in Seffner when the dog attacked.
The victim's wound is a single puncture and very minor in nature, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Larry McKinnon.
McKinnon tells ABC Action News, the boy was taken to the hospital for a tetanus shot and is okay.
At this time, it is unclear if the dog was provoked.
