Thieves are still on the loose after stealing from a church in Spring Hill one week before Christmas.

Tim Gordon is the assistant pastor to his father, Pastor Barry Gordan at Faith Baptist Church in Spring Hill.

Pastor Barry Gordon said, "They called me and asked if the van had been in an accident. I said, Not that I know of, and they said, well the front end is gone. I said, What do you mean, gone?

Tim Gordon said, "I’ve never heard of a vehicle having the front end stolen off of it."

But that’s exactly what happened, the bumper, grill and lights - gone.

And many can't believe that someone would steal something like that from a church the week before Christmas.

TIm Gordon said, "If you would’ve come to us, we would’ve helped you. You didn’t have to vandalize our property."

Now, that vandalism is costing the small church nearly $1500

Pastor Barry Gordon says this isn’t the first time something like this has happened, a few months ago their shed was broken into. He said, 'We had to replace the lawn tractor, the trailer. I mean everything they took they placed on the trailer and drove off."

Since then they put an alarm on the shed, and now they’re looking into security cameras for the entire area.

Pastor Gordon says they've forgiven the thieves but they how that justice is served.

Tom Gordon said, "I hope next time if they need something they’ll come to us instead of sneaking around us."
