The man, Todd Belville, said he and his wife got into an argument and he later shot her.

Belville said the gun was originally put away and that he had been drinking a beer.

When deputies arrived Belville was on the front porch. He was then put into custody.

Inside the home, deputies located Belville's wife.

At this time, there is not a known motive.

Officials said there was no record of any domestic violence type calls at the Belville residence.
