A 26-year-old Inverness man is accused of setting fire to his own home.

Raymond Hermann, of 6079 E. Lynn Street in Inverness, is now facing arson charges.

He is being held without bond.

Citrus County deputies say they were called out to Hermann's home Wednesday in regard to an arson.  When they got on scene they learned someone had set fire to the home and took off running, an arrest affidavit states.

According to deputies, they found Hermann two blocks over.

Neighbors reportedly told deputies Hermann admitted to setting his house on fire and warned them to stay away because he had a gun.

While being transported to jail, Hermann reportedly admitted to setting the fire and explained "the voices in his head told him to do it," an arrest affidavit states.
