A Crystal River man is accused of shooting his girlfriend in the stomach, tying her up and taking her to an ATM where he removed her cash.
Matthew Cooper, 45, faces charges that include attempted felony murder, kidnapping and robbery with a firearm.
Deputies say the crime happened Saturday evening.
Afterward, Cooper took his girlfriend back to their home, deputies say, and fled in her white Hummer.
Deputies quickly found Cooper and arrested him without incident.
The victim, a 43-year-old Crystal River woman, is recovering in an Ocala hospital.
Cooper is being held without bond. His other charges include tampering with a witness, three counts of grand theft, aggravated domestic battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
