HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. -- A viral video shows a donkey refusing to back down in an intense staredown against an alligator.
NJoy Spirits Distillery in Weeki Wachee shared the video Thursday showing a bizarre encounter between the two animals.
In the video, you can hear a woman instructing Snickers the donkey to stay away from the wild alligator. At one point, Snickers even sniffed the alligator from a very close distance.
"Snickers, no!" the woman shouted in the video.
The alligator tried to intimidate by whipping its tail and then lunging at Snickers, but the donkey briefly backed away and then began circling around the alligator.
Snickers was not hurt in the wild encounter.
