UPDATE — The Hernando County Sheriff's Office located Venessa Valdez-Jiminez, 42, around 6:20 p.m. on Friday. They say she was in a wooded area in Brooksville in need of medical attention.
Valdez-Jiminez was treated at the scene, then taken to a local hospital for advanced care. Her condition is unknown at this time.
The sheriff's office says over 20 law enforcement officers searched the heavily wooded area on foot, by air, on ATVs, in patrol vehicles, on horseback and with K-9s. The Pasco County Sheriff's Office also assisted by providing a bloodhoud K-9 team.
HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. — The Hernando County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing woman last seen Friday morning.
Venessa Valdez-Jiminez, 42, was last seen around 8 a.m. dropping children off at Deltona Elementary School in Spring Hill. Valdez-Jiminez made statements of self-harm before leaving and has not been heard from since, the sheriff's office says.
Her vehicle, cellphone and various belongings have been found by authorities in northeastern Brooksville.
She was last seen wearing a bright yellow shirt with gray yoga pants. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and 160 pounds. Her hair and eyes are both brown, and he hair is medium length.
