A 41-year-old Crystal River man is fired upon three times and escaped unharmed.

According to Citrus County deputies, the man was sitting in his car near at 850 NE 3rd Street on February 10 when a burgundy colored van pulled up and David Lemon got out.

Lemon, 27, had a gun in his hand and began walking toward the victim, deputies say.

The man says Lemon pointed the black revolver at him.

Deputies told ABC Action News that is when a woman got out of the van and attempted to pull Lemon back into the car.

The victim told deputies Lemon tried to fire the gun three times but the gun did not fire or misfired.

The victim says he then sped off toward his home which was nearby.

Lemon had chased him back to his home and was now on foot with the gun still pointed at the man, deputies say.

The victim ran between two homes and while running away, reportedly heard three gunshots.

A witness living nearby says she also heard gunshots and when she opened her door she saw Lemon running away to a red van and then saw the red van leave.

Another neighbor also claims to have heard at least one gunshot.

Deputies say the victim was known to Lemon.

An arrest warrant was issued for Lemon on February 10.  He was arrested on February 23.
