Dozens of Cubans gathered outside of Casa Cuba in Tampa on Saturday afternoon after hearing about Fidel Castro's death.  They chanted and even played music to celebrate.

"I'm glad for him to be dead," said Oscar Rodriguez.

Rodriguez fled from Cuba forty years ago.

"We were afraid all of the time," said Rodriguez.

He settled in Tampa and met dozens of other Cubans like him.

"Two of our members were actually in a Cuban prison at one time," said Rodriguez

Not everyone with Cuban roots was celebrating Castro's death.  Mark Beiro's grandfather was from Cuba.   Beiro considered Castro a leader.

"He was quite a mixed bag of good and bad things and hopefully we will start to see the better angels of his nature" said Beiro.

Both men said they will closely watch to see how life changes in Cuba after Castro.
