USGS: 2.6 magnitude earthquake reported in Maryland

The US Geological Survey is reporting that there was a 2.6 magnitude earthquake in Maryland on Friday afternoon.

According to the USGS website, the quake occurred at 3:40 p.m. local time at 39.316°N 76.721°W in Woodland, Maryland.

USGS said the earthquake was at a depth of 2.5 kilometers.
