Gunman that left 2 dead in California high school shooting has died

A student gunman who opened fire at a southern California high school Thursday morning has died. He left two dead and several others injured, officials said.</p>

According to officials, the boy died at 3:32 p.m. on Friday.

According to authorities, the suspect opened fire in the quad at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita. He shot and killed two students, a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, and injured three others before shooting himself in the head, police said. He is currently in custody and being treated at a local hospital, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva.

The other victims include two girls, ages 14 and 15, and one 14-year-old boy, police said. They were transported to local hospitals with gunshot wounds.
