Someone in Michigan became a multi-millionaire overnight.
The Michigan Lottery reports it sold the sole winning ticket in Wednesday night's $310.5 million Powerball jackpot. The unknown winner bought the ticket at a Shell gas station in Three Rivers, Michigan.
The winner has the choice between selecting annual payments or taking one lump sum worth $191.4 million after taxes.
The Powerball jackpot had been rolling over since one ticket won $110 million on August 1st. Wednesday's grand prize was the largest since the three ticket split a $564.1 million jackpot on February 11th.
Wednesday's numbers were 21, 39, 40, 55, 59 with 17 as the Powerball.
There were a total of 137,739 winning tickets sold in Florida. No tickets sold in the state matched five numbers.
Five tickets matched four numbers and the Powerball to win $10,000.
Saturday's jackpot now resets back to $40 million. The deadline to buy Powerball tickets in Florida is 10:00 p.m. EST.
