Sandra Bullock has pledged to donate $1 million to help aid the many individuals whose lives have been devastatingly impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

According to People, the money Bullock has pledged to donate will benefit the American Red Cross, an organization that Bullock has a history of supporting.

“There are no politics in eight feet of water,” Bullock told People. “There are human beings in eight feet of water.”

“This is an incredible gift. We’re so thankful," Elizabeth Penniman, Vice President of Communications for American Red Cross national headquarters, told People. “Having someone like Sandra Bullock make this kind of commitment, it helps bring people together and open their hearts and be even more generous.”

Other celebrities such as Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson, Nicki Minaj, Jensen Ackles, Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez have also pledged their support and donations for relief in Texas.

The Walt Disney Company and its Houston television station joined together to give $1 million to the American Red Cross relief efforts. Facebook announced that it will match donations made on its website up to $1 million. Bass Pro Shops announced it is sending more than 80 Tracker boats to government agencies and rescue organizations aiding the Texas response efforts.
