BOSTON (AP) — Boston University says there was "heavy police presence for an emergency situation" on campus and they urged people to stay
The situation was reported Friday morning at a building that houses a university library and Bank of America branch.
According to broadcast reports, a stretch of road was closed.
A tweet from the Boston Police Department's official account called it an "unfolding concern."
At 9:45 a.m. the university tweeted that police believe the emergency was a hoax. The area was cleared.
Police say they believe this morning's emergency was a hoax. The area is all clear and there is no threat as of now.
