Police in Albuquerque, NM rescued a man who had been nailed to a tree after getting a 911 call alerting them to his location.

An open space worker picking up trash heard Jose Duran's cries for help and called 911.  You can hear the operators surprise when he explains what sees.

Jose Duran said he'd been nailed to the tree for a couple of hours.

Before police and paramedics got there the open space worker tried to figure out what happened.

What he saw really scared him.

"It's kind of spooky you know," the caller said. "I've never seen anything like this before."

The man on the tree said something about two guys and real estate papers.

Detectives say he's changed his story to them three times and it's still under investigation.
