A 40-year-old Delta Airlines employee is accused of stealing $300,000 from a cash shipment at Kennedy Airport.

Law enforcement officials say the unidentified man was arrested on Thursday morning at his home in Queens.

The money was part of a cash shipment that was supposed to be loaded onto a Delta flight bound for Florida. An investigation began when officials found the money missing.

At this time, it has not been recovered.

We are taking this situation very seriously and working directly with authorities on their investigation as well as conducting an internal investigation of our own.
