The Coast Guard is searching for a 32-year-old woman who reportedly fell overboard from the Carnival Ecstasy cruise ship early Wednesday morning.
Officials say the ship was approximately 27 miles southwest of Freeport, Bahamas when the incident occurred.
Crews on the Carnival cruise ship notified the Coast Guard after the woman was seen falling overboard from the 11th deck at approximately 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. She was wearing a white dress with pink flowers on it.
The Coast Guard Air Station Miami helicopter crew, an Air Station Miami airplane crew and the Coast Guard Cutter Gannet crew are assisting with the search.

The Carnival Ecstasy's home port is Charleston, SC. It was headed back to Charleston, SC after stops in Nassau and Freeport and was scheduled to arrive in Charleston on Thursday.
The identity of the missing woman has not been released.
