Based on rankings developed by WalletHub, Los Angeles is the best major city if you're a college basketball fan.

WalletHub analyzed every city that has an NCAA Division 1 men's basketball team, and compared season ticket prices, programs with winning records and fan engagement as part of its methodology.

Los Angeles is home to UCLA, a team expected to compete for a spot in this year's Final Four as a No. 3 or 4 seed. It is also home to USC, who is battling for one of the last spots on the bubble for this year's tournament.

Among smaller cities, Durham, home to Duke University leads the list.

Among cities with a population of more than 100,000, Los Angeles and Durham were followed by Philadelphia, Lexington, Kentucky, New York, Norman, Oklahoma, Cincinnati, Provo, Utah, Washington and Houston.

Phoenix, the home of the 2017 Final Four, is No. 17 out of 55 cities with a population of more than 300,000.
