A manhunt is underway in Chicago after two police officers were shot on Tuesday night.
The on-duty, plainclothes officers were sitting in an unmarked car at about 9 p.m. local time when they were shot by people in two other vehicles, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The newspaper reported that the officers fired back but apparently did not hit anyone.
Both officers are expected to survive the attack. One was shot in the hip and arm and the other was shot in the back, according to the Chicago Sun Times.
