Tonight's Mega Millions lottery drawing could be worth more than a half billion dollars to the winner.
The estimated jackpot stands at $522 million.
The massive jackpot comes after no ticket matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball Friday night.
The jackpot was last won in Ohio May 4, with a prize worth $142 million. The money was collected by ABC XYZ trust, according to lottery officials.
The prize has only crossed the $400 million mark seven times in its 16-year history, officials said. The top Mega Millions jackpot was $656 million in 2012.
On January 5, a 20-year-old Port Richey became the sole winner of a $451 million Mega Millions jackpot.
Shane Missler chose to receive his winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment in the amount of $281,874,999.00.
Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play.
The drawing will take place Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET, 8 p.m. PT.
