29-year-old woman arrested in credit card, check fraud attempt at Pinellas County stores

A suspect sought for credit card and check fraud now is behind bars in the Pinellas County Jail.

Amber Michelle Wilkins, 29, of St. Petersburg, was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Thursday for the fraudulent use of credit card, uttering a check with forged endorsement at Publix and CVS stores. The incidents occurred March 27.

Wilkins was charged with three counts of fraudulent use of credit card, three counts of accessory after the fact, one count of grand theft motor vehicle, one count of possession of controlled substance, and one count of uttering a check with forged endorsement. 

The Largo Police Department and several tips from area residents helped to identify Wilkins as a suspect.
