WATCH: World's tallest dive coaster opening

Thrill seekers have a new reason to visit Cedar Point. The Ohio amusement park opens its newest roller coaster this weekend.

Valravn is the tallest, fastest and longest dive coaster in the world. It is named for the supernatural raven that appears in Danish folklore.

The Valravn is a record-breaking 223 feet tall. After the first steep climb the coaster holds you over the edge for four seconds before diving 214 feet at a 90 degree angle at speeds up to 75 miles per hour.

Riders will then be flipped upside-down in a large Immelmann maneuver, which is a half-loop followed by a half-turn. before diving a second time into a loop and a 270-degree roll.

The entire ride takes 3 minutes and 23 seconds to go its entire 3,415 feet.

Valravn becomes Cedar Point's fifth roller coaster reaching a height of at least 200 feet. Guests will need to be at least 52 inches tall in order to ride Valravn.

Cedar Point opens for its 2016 season on Saturday, May 6.
