Suspect applies for job in the middle of a police chase

Posted

A suspect in a police chase in Massachusetts took an unexpected detour on Tuesday.

Surveillance video at Osprey Wireless shows general manager Jeff Moran leading a "job applicant" into his office, where the "potential hire" picks up a pen and fills out an application.

The interview was going well, if it weren't for the search outside following a police chase and the wanted man.

26-year-old Jose Jimenez was accused of running over a trooper's foot last Thursday during a traffic stop.

Service manager Bryan Carpenter approached state police, who'd been searching 26-year-old Jose Jimenez's ditched car, seizing wads of cash.

"I described to him what he looked like. Then he showed me a picture and I said, 'yeah, that looks like him,'" Carpenter said.

Eight minutes into the interview, police entered and handcuffed him.

Jimenez is being held on a $250,000 bail.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at Quincy District Court, where he faces several charges.
