USF student arrested, reportedly attempted to rob pizza delivery man with toy gun

Students at University of South Florida received an early morning text alert warning them of an armed robbery that occurred outside of the Holly Apartments on Tuesday morning. 

The alert, sent at 4:42 a.m. said: 

"ALERT USF Tampa: Armed Robbery Outside Holly Apts. Emergency Personnel On Scene. Investigation ongoing." 

The USF Police Public Information Officer told ABC Action News that a student tried to rob a pizza delivery man with a toy gun. The pizza delivery man said that the student approached him and requested a pizza for free. 

The student, Keion Cantrell, 20, of Maitland, Florida, was arrested by USF police. The student lives at the USF Holly Apartments.
