Pinellas County Utilities workers have completed temporary repairs of a broken 30-inch sewer force main that caused a large depression on Mango Street in Tarpon Springs.
The massive hole opened up adjacent to the Tarpon Springs Shores Mobile Home Park, which led to the evacuation of some residents.
Residents in the East Lake area can resume normal water use. They had been asked to limit water use during the repairs.
Pinellas County officials mobilized a fleet of tanker trucks to pump stations around the East Lake area to handle 100 percent of the sewage that travels through the broken main during the repairs, diverting it from the site of the broken main.
