It's hard to imagine anyone would abandoned the adorable German Shepard with dreamy, brown eyes. But someone did, and Tampa police are seeking the public's help to find him.
A few days ago, a man driving a blue pickup truck, possibly a Ford, released the German Shepard at the intersection of Bird Street and I-275 in downtown Tampa.
According to authorities, a witness saw the man stomped at the dog before the pickup drove away.
It turns out the dog was stolen.
In fear for the dog's safety, an unidentified good Samaritan stopped and rescued the animal.
The German Shepard is safe and being taken care of.
Police are asking anyone with information about who abandoned the pet, to contact the Tampa Police Department at (813) 231-6130.
