Tampa police search for three suspects in pawn shop robbery, more than $10K in jewelry stolen

Detectives with the Tampa Police Department are searching for three suspects in a pawn shop robbery. 

On Monday, October 17, at 6:54 p.m., three masked suspects entered the Value Pawn located at 3102 Hillsborough Avenue West in Tampa. The suspects ordered everyone inside of the store to get on the ground.

One of the suspects was armed with a small handgun. 

The suspects then used a hammer style tool to shatter the glass case containing jewelry. 

Detectives say approximately $10,000 to $20,000 worth of jewelry was stolen. 

The robbery was captured on surveillance video.

Suspect descriptions:

  • black male, 5'10", 200lbs., wearing a black ski mask, gray long sleeve shirt, dark colored pants and armed with a silver, small caliber semi-automatic handgun                             
  • black male, 6'02", 200lbs., dreadlocks, red bandanna over face, black long sleeve shirt, black pants and black shoes
  • black male, 5'10", 180lbs., blue bandanna over face, black long sleeve shirt, black pants and black shoes

The robbers fled in what detectives believed to be an older model Honda Accord, silver, with a possible Florida tag of 532BVR. Detectives say there was a fourth suspect driving the getaway vehicle.
