Tampa police are searching for the motorist who left a pedestrian for dead on North Nebraska Avenue early Sunday morning.
The hit and run traffic crash occurred on Nebraska Avenue near 23rd Avenue, the Tampa Police Department said.
The pedestrian died at the scene. The person's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, police said.
Nebraska Avenue was closed in both directions from East Floribraska to East 24th Avenue was closed for several hours.
