Tampa Master Patrol Officer Fred Arnold to be laid to rest on Tuesday

The funeral for Tampa Master Patrol Officer, Fred Arnold III, will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Lifepoint Church located at 8702 Hunters Lake Drive. 

Officer Arnold's casket was taken to Lifepoint Church at 8:30 a.m., the funeral will begin at 11 a.m. and the rendering of Final Honors will happen outside of the church at approximately noon. 

Officer Arnold died in an off-duty SCUBA diving accident in Nevada in August.

Just after 1:30 p.m. on August 28, the Tampa Police Department shared the news on their Facebook page. 

We are deeply saddened to share with you that this weekend we lost one of our Tampa Police family members. Master Patrol Officer Fred Arnold III passed away unexpectedly during an off duty incident. Officer Arnold proudly served the community for 27 years and volunteered countless hours to mentoring young teens in our Police Explorer program. He will truly be missed. Please keep Officer Arnold's family and friends in your thoughts.

The children of Officer Arnold took a moment to thank the Tampa community for their support during such a hard time.
