After a successful parade on St. Petersburg's waterfront Saturday, St. Pete Pride returns to a more familiar turf for its annual street festival Sunday.

Thousands of spectators are expected to descend on Grand Central District west of the downtown area from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.

They will stroll along Central Avenue bordered by a caravan of booths, peddling everything from art to cell phones to clothing to spiritual centers.

For the past 15 years, St. Petersburg has been recognized as hosting the largest annual Gay Pride celebration in the southeast United States.
