Officers with the St. Pete Police Department will be holding active shooter training at the Tyrone Mall located at 6901 22nd Avenue N in St. Petersburg.
The training is for St. Petersburg Police officers and mall security.
The department wants to make sure that the public is aware of the training.
It is scheduled to start at 6 a.m. on Friday, August 10.
The St. Pete Police Department wants to add: "** please note, we have received no threats or indications that Tyrone Mall is targeted...this is just realistic scenario training for our officers**"
