Meet Zen, a good-natured beagle who is quiet and doesn't bark a lot.
Zen arrived recently at Southeast Beagle Rescue in search of a new forever home.
The 5-year-old dog was believed to have been abandoned in Polk County two or three weeks ago.
Zen quickly settled in with his foster family. They say they are pleased with his house manners and has had no accidents.
Zen sleeps in his crate. He has been neutered, tested negative for heartworms, and is up-to-date on his vaccines.
He now is ready for a new home.
Zen, whose name reflects his laid back personality, gets along well with other dogs.
