A 61-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on 34th Street North in St. Petersburg Saturday, authorities said.
Joanne M. Hathorn of St. Petersburg was crossing east to west on 34th Street north of 50th Avenue North when she entered the path of a 2008 Mazda, thje Florida Highway Patrol said.
The Mazda driven by John E. Montgomery, 24, also of St. Petersburg was traveling in the outside lane on 34th St. when Hathorn was hit.
Hathorn was pronounced dead on scene.
