New Year's Eve: How to get home safe after celebrating

TAMPA, Fla. — When the New Year's Eve celebrations end and the firework smoke clears, remember these ways to get home safe.

Hillsborough Area Regional Transit

  • HART is offering free rides after 7 p.m. until the route's end of service. Hours are not extended.

Ride Share

  • If you're checking out the festivities at Curtis Hixon, you can get $10 off an Uber with the code: "SAFERIDETPA." There will be a pick-up and drop-off spot on Cass Street in front of the library.

Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority

  • Free rides starting at 8 p.m. until 1 a.m.

TECO Streetcar

  • Free with service extended until 2 a.m.
