An accident on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard in Clearwater has claimed the life of a motorcyclist, Clearwater police officials said.
Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue emergency personnel responded to the accident with serious injuries shortly after 11 p.m. at Sky Harbor Drive and Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard just east of the Clearwater Mall.
A motorcycle and van collided at the intersection.
The motorcyclist has been taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he later died.
The driver of the van was treated at the scene.
