Missing 17-year-old Sebring girl safely located

SEBRING, Fla. — A Florida Missing Child Alert has been canceled for a 17-year-old girl from Sebring after authorities safely located her.

Carla Lise was last seen in the area of the 6000th block of U.S. Highway 27 North in Sebring, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said in a news release.

In a statement, Highlands County Sheriff Office spokesman Scott Dressel said Carla was last seen at the Quality Inn in Sebring on April 29. She was initially classified as a runaway, but information received indicates she may be in danger.

Carla is described as standing 5-foot-7, weighs 140 pounds, wears glasses and has black hair and brown eyes.

Deputies believe Carla may be in the Tampa area.
